However, it seems that not only Windows Live Hotmail, but additional Windows Live services were affected by the temporary outage. “Rest assured that your inbox is safe! The incorrect message was sent out, caused by a networking issue that we encountered while doing routine maintenance.” ![]() “Some of you may have experienced an unusual message when you tried to sign in to Windows Live earlier this (Thursday) evening (PST), a message that said “You don’t have an inbox…yet”,” revealed a member of the Windows Live Team. The Redmond company explained that the messages were erroneous and assured Windows Live Hotmail users that their emails had not been impacted in any manner. Various users have started reporting not being able to sign in to their accounts, and the fact that they received messages informing them that their inbox was gone. And indeed at this point in time, the service is up and running with no problems whatsoever. Microsoft has confirmed officially that Windows Live Hotmail suffered a temporary outage, but indicated that the issue was resolved. ![]()
